A CASE OF TABLE ARRANGEMENT HEADACHES
Have you ever wanted to start your own blog, but didn't think you were cool enough? Well that is how I have felt my whole life, until I figured out what my passion was. I absolutely love teaching, but wedding planning has provided a whole different outlet for my creativity. I have always wanted to have my own business, but always ponded what my niche would be.
Well when I married the man of my dreams, I think I found that Interior design & event planning, well weddings is my passion.
So I am going to use this space as an outlet to not only share my rentals but a place to share my thoughts. You could say share a little advise along the way, as Clark & I grow in our lives and our marriage.
First I want to share one creative idea for table arrangements. I didn't want to do the classic names on a board, or calligraphy on a mirror. Although I won't lie to you, I tried to do the calligraphy myself. Being a third grade teacher, I thought my handwriting and neat script would pay off. That is hard work! So I kept thinking, and decided on doing wine bottle labels. I didn't like the idea of them being on an actual bottle so I then decided to use vases.
I will say it can become frustrating to constantly redo the labels as people decide not to come, or more people decided to come to the wedding. But at the end of the day, I was so happy with how they turned out. And with them being spaced out on the table, light shined perfectly into the vases. When we did our introduction, everyone was in their seats without a problem, so the design worked!
We found these vases at TjMaxx and actually they have so many of these in stores now! When we originally looked they only had a few in the clearance section, so I went around to A LOT of TjMaxx stores to find this collection.
Here is the paper that we used, and believe me we searched everywhere for the VALUE. These sticker sheets are pricey and if you mess up, you have to reprint.
For adding names to the bottles, it required a certain font size, font, and format. Here is the format that we used the worked the best. You have no idea how long this took to create, and get right. But I want to share it with you to make your life a little easier if you like this idea :) Please share my website as a token of appreciation, if you can!
And then you're ready to go attach the names to your vases and get some tea lights! The best tea lights that I could find for the value, were on Amazon of course. I did SO much shopping for the wedding on Amazon!
